Mrs. Ybeatrice (Matthews) Sheets, 82 passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Womack Army Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 24, 2026 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Yveates and Beulah Matthews; husband, Hubert Ray Sheets; and her siblings, Stella West Sipe, Frances Travis, Willie Matthews, Denton Matthews, and JV Matthews.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Ydonna Hopper (Steve) and Sharon Tew (Frank); granddaughters, Ashley Walker (Jon), Megan Hall (Justin) and Morgan Harper (Robert); great grandchildren, Justin McElrath, Cooper Hall, Jackson Walker, Bradey Harper, Vada Jolene Hall and Charlie Ray Harper, who will be born on 8/06/2026’ sisters, Lou Daniels (Gerald) and Ruth Pope (Waylon); and her brother, Ashford Matthews.
