Debra Jeanne (Hults) Knowles

Mrs. Debra Jeanne (Hults) Knowles, 71, of Fayetteville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 28, 2026 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Knowles was born in Beardstown, Illinois, the daughter of William M. Hults and Doris Spears Hults. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Knowles; sister-in-law, Sherri Hults; a nephew, Brian Rhoades; and her beloved fur babies, Goliath, Hannah Sue, Jack, Jaimee, Joker, Natalie, and Javy.

She was dedicated to rescuing dogs, especially boxers, and devoted much of her time to supporting and fundraising for boxer rescue organizations. She was also a valued member of the Foccas Group. She also was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and a Nascar fan.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Melissa Autry (companion Andrew Scott); a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Smith; a sister, Carol Rhoades; three brothers, Michael Hults, David Hults (wife Kim), and John Hults; three nieces, Holly Gardner (husband Mark), Michelle Hults Tallman (husband Patrick), and Jamie Hults; two nephews, Jason Hults, and Jordan Hults (wife Ashley); aunt, Jeanne Desollar; nine great nieces and nephews; and a fur baby, Libby.
