Georgie Marie (Turley) Johnson, 81 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Pastor Ronnie Johnson and Pastor William Hall. Burial will follow at Johnson Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 3:50 PM Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Georgie was born in Taswell County, Virginia on February 20, 1945 to the late George and Lottie Turley. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Gene Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Earnest and Daisy Johnson; brother-in-law, Carl Tracy Wolford; and her sister, Shirley T. Kiser.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Johnny Gene Johnson & wife, Mandie and Michael Gene Johnson & wife, Tammy; 10 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and her sister, Ellen Wolford.
