Mr. Lyle Danks, 83 of Roseboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Shawn Berryhill officiating. The burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Mr. Danks was a native of Forest Grove Oregon, the son of Ernest David Danks and June Ruth Danks. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dale Danks.

Lyle was a retired Master Sargent with the US Army where he served for 21 years in the 82 Airborne and retired with the US 7th Group Special Forces and he was a Vietnam Veteran. Throughout his Military career he performed 361 confirmed jumps as a US Paratrooper. He was also a honorary lifetime deacon at Union Grove Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his Wife, Annette Danks of Roseboro; Three sons, Tony Danks and wife, Carla; Rodney Danks and wife, Jennifer; and Ryan Danks; Six grandchildren; Colton Danks; Marc Danks and wife, Brooke; Lee Danks; Madison Danks; Gracie Danks; and Conner Danks; two great grandchildren, Everett Danks; and Ira Danks; two brothers, Gary Danks; and Glenn Danks.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the VIA Health Partners for everything they have done for the family.
