AUTRYVILLE
Mr. William Larry Bullard, 77 of Autryville went home to be with his Lord on Friday, June 10, 2022 at his home.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 14 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Dockery and Rev. Bryan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:50 PM at the church prior to the service and at other times at the home.
Larry was a native of Sampson County, the son of Maxwell William “Bill” and Lennie Strickland Bullard. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Reginald “Mutt” Bullard and sister Billie Joyce Kimsey.
He was retired from Burger King Corporation and after retirement he worked for Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Larry was an incredible husband, father and grandfather. He lived his life for the Lord and for his family. He thought of everyone else before himself and always woke up every morning thanking the Lord for another day.
Larry was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, where he served as a former Deacon. He truly loved his church and was well known by everyone for his beautiful voice that he used to sing for the Lord. He loved cars, especially his Mustang.
He is survived by his wife, Gale Hales Bullard of the home; daughter, Lauren Bullard and husband, Stuart Clilverd of Louisville, KY; son, John Bullard and wife, Amanda of Roswell, GA; grandson, Grayson Bullard; granddaughter, Emma Bullard and his furry companion, Chelsy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor can be made to Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 2300 Pleasant Union Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
