Mr. Sam Edge, 85 of Cumberland County, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Celebration of Praise Church of God in Raeford, officiating will be Rev. Jerry Edge and Rev. Freddie Powell.  Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Edge is a native of Bladen County and the son of Evander and Bettie Kate Hall Edge. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kimberly Gail Oliphant; brothers and sisters; grandson, A.J. Oliphant; and step-grandson, Johnny McGee.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Hubbard Edge of the home; one daughter, Diane Edge Crumpler and husband, Neil of Clinton; three sons, Jerry Leon Edge and wife, Brenda of Fayetteville; David Ashley Edge and wife, Angela of Fayetteville; and Michael Lee Edge and wife, Jennifer of  Fayetteville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
