Mr. Robert Earl Cooper, 89 passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Salem United Methodist Church in Eastover.
Robert was born in Cumberland County to the late Earl and Pattie Cooper. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Mac Cooper; and the love of his life, Shirley Cooper.
Robert was the last dairy farmer in Cumberland County, after operating Cooper Field Farms for 40 years; after that he worked for 19 years for the Federal Government being a supervisor for Animal and Plant Inspection Services.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Robbi Cooper, Jim Cooper, Laurin Cooper & wife, Beverly, and Sue Bennett & husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Christopher Adams (Lindsay), Tyler Bennett, Katie Davis (Justin), Cooper Strickland, Brendan and Cameron Cooper; great grandchildren, Rory Adams, Mackenzie Jumper, Charlotte Waldrop, Joanna Adams, and Waylon Davis.
