Mrs. Patsy T. Russell, 84, of Stedman passed away January 12, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Patsy was born in Marion, Alabama, to Robert and Myrtelene Tucker, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Judson College. After living in Birmingham and Montgomery, she moved to Pensacola, Florida, where she met her future husband, Richard Russell. The two were happily married for 60 years. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and was very active with the Golden Echoes seniors group. She enjoyed leading her children’s Cub Scout and Girl Scout troops, and she and Richard loved their log cabin in the mountains of Western NC, along with their schnauzers. Patsy is survived by her husband, Richard, son Richard Russell (Jack Harris) of Atlanta, daughter Robin Huybrechts (Chris Huybrechts) of North Wilkesboro, and she was a devoted granny to Cassidy Malvitch (Hope Malvitch) of Statesboro, Evan Marth, and Tara Marth.

A private graveside service will be held by the family.
