Mr. Ottis Odell Sessoms, 84 passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. George Terry and Rev. Deborah Rich.  Burial will follow at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery (3645 Dunn Road, Roseboro).

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.

He was born in Sampson County to the late Issac Sessoms and Roseann Autry Sessoms.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Sessoms; and sisters, Sarah Sessoms and Mary Tanner.

Odell loved gospel music and was a longtime member of Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He is survived by his nieces, Rosie Edmondson of Roseboro, Judy Murphy & husband, Sam of Seven Springs, NC and Linda Edwards & husband, Tommy of Clinton; and nephews, James Tanner & wife, Kay of Deep Run, NC  and David Tanner & wife, Bell of Clinton.
