Mr. James Preston Hall, 84

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. James Preston Hall, 84 of 5307 Walnut Drive, Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Whispering Pines Nursing & Rehab Center in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. Lutrell Spell, Rev. Arthur Horne and Rev. Steve Branch officiating. Burial will follow at the Spell Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Hall was born on October 1, 1930 in Sampson County to the late Harvey Pritchard and Mary Jane Naylor Hall. He was a graduate of Roseboro High School. He went in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict then worked for Civil Service at Fort Bragg and for the City of Fayetteville. He was a member of Lafayette Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Spell Hall; son, Donald Hall and wife Crystal of Hartsville, S.C.; brother, Allen Hall of Wake Forest; three grandchildren, William, Katrina and Christin; and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. Thursday afternoon at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Arrangements entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
