Mary Ellen (Bolton) Reale

Mary Ellen (Bolton) Reale, 83 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Andy Wood.  Burial will follow at Sandy Horne Cemetery in Autryville.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mary was born in Sampson County to the late Stacy Holt Bolton and Vera Beatrice Spell Bolton.  In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a brother, Stacy Holt Bolton, Jr.

Mary was an excellent athlete for most of her life, as she was great at basketball, softball, and golf.  She also enjoyed surf fishing, but she was at her happiest just playing golf.  She was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and a UNC Tarheel basketball fan. She loved her family and was one of the most kindest and selfless people, as she will be truly missed by all who knew her.  She was a longtime member of Autryville Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 40 years, James Reale of the home; son, Terry Grant Hall & wife, Katrina of Lexington, SC; daughter, Bobbi Jean Shoop & husband, Brian of Arlington, VA; brother, Frankie Bolton of Stedman; grandchildren, Noah Hall, Kolbi Clark, Kylee Shoop and Kalyn Shoop; and a great grandson, Robert Clark.
