Ms. Marie “Beth” (Koon) Carter, 79 passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at The Gardens of Roseboro Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Evergreen Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Davis and Reverend Tommy Honeycutt officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM Thursday at the church prior to service.

Beth was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Joseph Marshall Koon and Lois Myrtle (Watley) Koon.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Hilliard Paul Carter, Jr.; and a sister, Joanne Peace.

Beth retired from Beaver Dam Elementary School with over 32 years of service.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Brian Carl Carter & wife, Lisa, and Joseph Russell Carter & fiancée, Dawn Hall, both of Autryville; daughter, Susan Marie Hall of Autryville; sister, Patricia Stacy-Suss of Washington; grandchildren, Matthew Carter, Brittany Collins, Nicholas Hall, Reed Carter, River Carter, and Jeremy Maxwell; and 4 great grandchildren.
