SALEMBURG
Mrs. Magdalene Taylor Hairr, 84 of Salemburg, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at UNC Rex Healthcare.
She was born on July 3, 1936 in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Olive Peacock Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leevon Hairr; and a sister, Lil Taylor; and two brothers, Tyson Taylor and Rodney Gray Taylor. She worked in the school cafeteria with Sampson County Schools.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Hairr (wife, Judy) of Stedman; her daughter, Melissa Baker of Angier; grandchildren, Evan Hairr (fiancé, Alexa), Allison Baker, Erin Naylor (husband, Joe); a great granddaughter, Madilynn Naylor; and a sister, Otha McFadyen of Fayetteville.
A graveside service will be held at Zoar Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery of Salemburg, on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 3:00pm with Reverend Kelvin Blackman officiating.
A public viewing will be held at Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro on Saturday afternoon from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zoar Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 740 Zoar Church Road, Salemburg, NC 28385.
