Mac Donald Grantham

Mr. Mac Donald Grantham, 93 of Autryville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 20 at Bethabara United Methodist Church, officiating will be Rev. Ray Burkart and Rev. Hank Dunbar.  The burial with military honors will follow in the Minson Williams Cemetery.

Mr. Grantham was a native of Sampson County, the son of Harvey and Ethel Elizabeth Autry Grantham.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ida Mae Collier Grantham; son, Douglas Marvin Grantham; three brothers, Delbert Lennis Grantham, his twin, Lee Ronald Grantham and Eulas Gilbert Grantham; a sister, Edith Grantham Hoard.

He was a member of Bethabara United Methodist Church, where he was a lay speaker with the United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of Mingo Masonic Lodge # 206.  He was a retired sales manager with the Sears and Roebuck Company and a Corporal with the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hall Grantham of the home; four children, Donald Keith Grantham (Cindy) of Elizabeth City, NC, Karen Grantham Schubert  (Fred) of Sheridan, WY, Martha Grantham Welker (Casey) of Autryville and Eric Shane Hall (Ann) of Autryville; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Grantham of Dunn;  six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, September 19 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and at other times at the home.
