Stedman
Love Tarrant Page, 92 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at The Carolina Inn Assisted Living Facility in Fayetteville.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 Monday, March 13, 2023 at Magnolia Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Travis Hoke. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. The family will receive friends at other times at 7218 Clinton Road, Stedman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George B. Tarrant, Sr. and Love McDaniel Tarrant; husband, Prennis Harold Page; and her brothers, Marion H. Tarrant, James E. “Jimmy” Tarrant, and George B. Tarrant, Jr.
She began her teaching career teaching 4th grade at Sunnyside Elementary, and then moved to teaching 5th grade at Stedman elementary until her retirement in 1991 after 37th 1/2 years of teaching. She was a member of the NC Rural Letter Carriers Association Auxiliary and held the office of NCRLCA Auxiliary with her husband, who were voted as delegates to numerous N.C. Rural Letter Carriers Association conventions held every summer in North Carolina and as delegates to numerous RLCA National Conventions held in various states throughout the United States. She also was a member of the Stedman Community Development Club.
She was a long-time member of Magnolia Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many years as Church Pianist, Church Treasurer, and Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Adult Choir, and a member of the Women's Missionary Union where she held various leadership positions. She enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, camping, traveling, and was always encouraging and helping others.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Shannon Page Johnston & husband, Fitz, Steven Harold Page & wife, Cindy, and Janet Page Land & husband, Eric all of Stedman; 5 grandchildren, Morgan Wrench & husband, Matthew of Gainsville, FL, Leah Land of Raleigh, Aaron Land of Stedman, Kyle Johnston of Winston Salem, and Meredith Coffey of Charlotte; 3 great grandchildren, Logan, Mason and Nate Wrench; sisters, Ann Tarrant Bunce of Fayetteville and Mary Tarrant Bailey & husband, Gerald of Tarpon Springs, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thank you to the staff of Carolina Inn for their loving care that they provided to Ms. Page.
