LaNell Grissom, 75 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating will be Rev. Allen Mayo, burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the service.

She was born in Sampson County to the late Eppie Linwood Grissom, Sr. and Oria Pernell Warren Grissom.  In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her sister, Ruth G. Jinnette; brother, Woody Grissom, Jr.; and nephew, Christopher Frazier.

LaNell retired after 40 years of employment with Civil Service at Fort Bragg, and was currently employed with NCMBC.  She was dedicated to all she sought to accomplish.  LaNell, "Nana", was a family blessing.  She loved her family, and her family loved her.  She was a gift from God that kept us all grounded.  Her love and wisdom was cherished and will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Annette G. Edenfield and Barbara G. Frazier both of Stedman; brother, Joe Grissom & wife, Sharon of Fayetteville; nephew, Stephen Frazier & wife, Nathlia and their children, Luke, Asher and Abby; niece, Rebecca Frazier; and many other nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
