Mrs. Joyce Anna Faircloth Autry, 81, of Autryville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Clement Baptist Church with Rev Scott Keith and Dr. James Dees officiating.  A private family burial will follow in the Maxwell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:50 PM on Saturday at Clement Baptist Church prior to the service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Ruth Faircloth; sister, Betty Whitmire; mother-in-law, Vezula Autry; father-in-law, Carl Autry; brothers-in-law Bobby Faircloth and Charles Whitmire; and loving niece, Diane Williams.

Prior to retirement, Joyce worked as office manager at Grace Grains in Autryville.  She enjoyed  her work and loved her customers. Until her health became an issue, she was an active member of Clement Baptist Church, where throughout the years, she served in many various roles.  She loved her church and her church family.  A positive, upbeat person, who never met a stranger, Joyce possessed the rare gift of being able to put anyone and everyone at ease.  To know her was to love her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 64 years, Landon Autry of the home;; son, James Ricky Autry of Autryville; daughters, Tammy (Ronald) Honeycutt of Clinton and Tracey (George) Gansel of Mesa, Arizona; grandson, James Landon Autry, II of Whiteville; sister, Roena Faircloth of Wallace; and brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Nancy Faircloth of Autryville; along with several nieces and nephews.
