Elizabethtown
Mr. Johnnie Franklin Baker, 65 of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, May 23, 2022, after a longstanding medical condition.
He was born in Sumter, South Carolina. He was a born again Christian who loved the Lord. He was a graduate of Southview Senior High School and retired from Kelly Springfield (Goodyear Tire and Rubber) as an elite radial truck tire builder.
Johnnie loved all animals and was a member of the S.P.C.A. He had a passion for growing flowers and house plants. He enjoyed nature, and was A.K.A., a “sun worshiper.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pauline Baker, and his brother, Warren Keith Baker of Fayetteville.
Survivors include his sons, Jerrad Franklin Baker of St. Pauls and Justin William Baker of Hope Mills; grandson, Jase Baker; sister, Charlene Baker Hall (Steven) of Roseboro; nephews, Brandon Hall of Roseboro and Jason Hall of Autryville.
In honoring Johnnie’s wishes, there will be a private gathering at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
