Mrs. Gertrud Ehinger Herron, 88 of Roseboro entered into heaven on Monday, October 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her children.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 28 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Shook and Rev. Tim McQueen officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:50 PM on Thursday at the church prior to the service.  There will be a private burial on Friday, October 29 at 11:00 AM at Fort Bragg Main Post Cemetery.

Mrs. Herron was a native of Wiesbaden, Germany and was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Kyle Herron.  She was a loving mother devoted to her family, community and church.  Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Esther M. Matthews and husband, Joel of Fayetteville, Patricia A. Drukenbrod and husband, Herb of Willow Springs, Tina M. Ford and husband, George of Autryville; one son, Bill Herron and wife, Bev of Newport News, VA; one sister, Helga Ball of Amherst, NY; six grandsons, one granddaughter, five great grandsons and four great granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sampson County Beatitude House, 212 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC  28382.
