Mr. Gene Warren Hester, 73 passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 13, 2021 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, officiating will be Rev. Darryl Hester.
Gene was born in Robeson County to the late, Warren Graham Hester and Hilda Bowen Hester. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Caulk.
Gene was a Disabled United States Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Ann Hester of the home; daughter, Jennifer Naylor & husband, Joseph Heath Naylor of Stedman; sons, Jayson Glover, Charles and Michael Selman all of the home; grandchildren, Joseph Heath Naylor, Jr. and Ashton Nicole Naylor; sisters, Lee Anne Bryan & husband, Carlton and Kim Johnson & husband, Derrick all of Bladenboro; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
