Mr. Gary Richard Bearden, 89 of North Myrtle Beach and formerly of Salemburg went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Andy Wood officiating. The burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:50 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Bearden was a native of Shelbyville, TN, the son of Finis Hale and Lily Clary Crowell Bearden. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marguerite Bearden; and two sons, Jody Bearden and Alex Bearden.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Bonnie Jackson and husband, Joe of Winterville; two sons, Glenn Paul of Dacula, GA; and Fred Paul of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Melissa Paul, Shea Greenfield, Savanna Jackson, Bray Jackson and Garris Jackson; five great-grandchildren, Writer Leto, Ocean Leto, Jamal Greenfield, Aliyah Greenfield and Maya Greenfield; his sister, Peggy Wassum; two adopted daughters, Heather Martin and Chrystal Cartrette;  adopted granddaughter, Chasity Cartrette and husband, Ryan Wymer; and adopted great-grandchild, Madelyn Wymer.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC 28382.
