Miss Frankie Freeman completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Bethesda Healthcare Facility in Eastover.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Treasure Freeman; and brother, Douglas Freeman.
She is survived by her sister, Becky Ehinger (Mike); brother, Sammy Freeman (Rachel); nieces, Beth Greene, Autumn Ehinger, and Carson Taylor; nephews, Michael and Matt Ehinger, Jamie and Justin Freeman; and 5 grandnephews and a grandniece.
Frankie was born June 4, 1936, in Harnett County, and was baptized at a young age in the Black River. She grew up in Stedman, and graduated from Stedman High School in 1954. She was a dedicated member of Second Baptist Church in Fayetteville, where she made many lifelong friendships. Frankie loved to travel, and enjoyed many exciting bus trips around the US; from Niagara Falls, to California, and more. She loved people, and worked downtown for many years at Kress, Benders, and Fayetteville Drug, and later in life, at Wal-Mart as a greeter.
Frankie’s sense of humor and personality brought joy to so many, throughout her life, and even in her final days. She was a beloved sister and aunt, caring friend, and a humble servant to the Lord. She was adored by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Macedonia Baptist Church, officiating will be Dr. Philip Hall.
