Ethelene Baxley, a servant of the Lord Jesus, her family, and everyone she touched around her, went home to be with Jesus in the place that He had prepared for her, Sunday 05/08/2022.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Ronald Long and Rev. G.C. Hughes.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the church on Friday prior to the service. Burial Will follow at Peter's Creek Baptist Church in Roseboro.
She was loved and cherished by her family and friends and will be missed dearly. She enjoyed helping others through the community and her church family.
She is survived by her son Glenn Baxley and wife Faye, son Eric Baxley and wife Jill, Daughter Gloria Wrench and Husband Greg, son Bradley Baxley and wife Beth, Grandchildren Ashley Baxley, Kyle Baxley and wife Andrea, Matthew Wrench and wife Morgan, Nicholas Wrench and wife Hannah, and Tyler Baxley, Lauren Mabe, Matthew Mabe, Gabi Wilson and Grace Wilson, Great-Grandchildren Logan Wrench, Mason Wrench, Julia Wrench and 2 more Great-Grandchildren on the way. Brothers Earl Faircloth, and C. L Faircloth; Sisters Dorothy (Dot) Hall, Wanda Joyner and Rita Adair: and her caregivers, Ruth Packer and Ramona Averitte.
She was preceded in death by Husband Elmer Baxley, son Christopher Baxley, Father Jarvis Faircloth, Mother Vera Faircloth, Brothers Herman Faircloth, Bobby (Tink) Faircloth, Rupert Faircloth, and Harold Faircloth and Sister Virginia (Jennie) Coleman.
Ethelene was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years, where she served in many different areas. She was very active with the Vander Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. She was also a substitute teacher for many schools throughout Cumberland County, and worked in Real Estate and was a mortgage loan officer.
Ethelene was Beautiful, Faithful, Loving, Spunky, Dedicated, Disciplined and the best Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma anyone could ever pray for.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UNC Cancer Center or to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
