A people person, he never seemed to meet a stranger. His goal in life was to spread the good news of the Gospel. He always carried around Scripture and prayers in his pocket, and would give them to whomever he met. These folks often became his lifelong friends as he led them to Christ. His pockets were always filled with prayer requests that he would remember in his daily devotions.
He was a consummate family man who deeply loved his children and grandchildren. He was always stopping by for a visit and offering to help in anyway possible. His servant’s heart was always evident.
Surviving are his beloved daughters Alisa Parker Hayes (husband Dan) of Stedman, N.C. and Lori Parker Schneider (husband Tony) of Woodbridge, Virginia. He has 4 grandchildren that he adored; grandsons Zack Hayes of Stedman and grandson Jared Hayes (wife Crystal) of Stedman, N.C., granddaughters Caitlin Schneider Anderson (husband David) of Huntersville, N.C. and Taylor Schneider Ryan (husband Patrick) of Temple, Texas.
