Rev. Elmer D. Parker, 79 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2018 with his family by his side.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 6, 2018 at New Life Fellowship Church, 4714 Olivia Road, Sanford, officiating will be Pastor Gail Dickens & Rev. Teresa Ammons. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Sampson County to the late Challie Parker & Vergie Baggett Parker. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by daughters, Sharon Renee Parker & Angela Womack; son, Gerald Ray Parker; and brothers, Wilbert, Clayton, Oscar, Easton, Lee, Rev. Elton B. and Rev. Willie H. Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Parker of the home; children, Jennifer Parker Klein, Elmer Wayne Parker & wife, Treasure, Joella Parker, Lisa Garcia and David Sutphin; brother, Earl Parker of Stedman; sister, Katie Cannady of Wilmington; 5 grandchildren, Kerri Yandle, Kristin Webb, Alan Parker, Caleb Eaves and Gabriella Parker and 8 great grandchildren, Cheyenne & Laci Webb, Hunter Coupee, Eva Yandle, Jonah & Rayna Parker, Casey & Jacob Yandle.

The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:45pm Saturday at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Butler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 207, Stedman, NC 28391, to help the family with funeral expenses.
