Mr. Delma Earl Joyner, 68, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend George Terry officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Born in Wayne County September 15, 1953, he was the son of the late Paul and Thelma Bradford Joyner. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glenn Joyner, sister, Lena Joyner Strickland, father-in-law, Blackman Hollingsworth, and a niece, Danielle Lynch.
Mr. Joyner graduated from Southern Wayne High School, and he retired in 2021 from Wellons Foundation Management in Dunn.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Hollingsworth Joyner; daughter, Paula Aleise Joyner; two sisters, Edna Jackson and Linda Daughtry(Ed); two brothers, V. J. Joyner and Paul Kent Joyner; five nieces, Rhonda West, Janet Andrews, Donna Williams, Amber Pennington and Mikayla Freeman; three nephews, William Jackson, Keith Herring and Andy Daughtry; mother-in-law, Frances Hollingsworth; and brother-in-law, George Strickland.
