Ret Staff Sgt. David “Brent” Leftwich passed away Friday, May 15, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Hall Family Cemetery in Autryville (Hayne Stretch), officiating will be Rev. Paul Honeycutt.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, May 18, 2020 at the funeral home.
He was born September 15, 1954 in Sylva, North Carolina, he was the son the late Rodney L. and Janie A. Leftwich.
He graduated from Cullowhee High School in 1973 and attended Western Carolina University and the Community College of the Air Force.
Active in Boy Scouts as a youth, Brent was an Eagle Scout, earned Order of the Arrow, and served as an assistant scoutmaster.
Brent was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served our Country for over 20 years earning the rank of Staff Sgt. While in the Air Force, he was stationed at Ramstein Germany, Altus Oklahoma, and Edwards California.
Brent loved the Lord and Jesus Christ. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Selma. He was an ordained Baptist minister.
Brent is survived by his wife, Mandy Leftwich; a sister, Linda Leftwich Moore, of Spanaway, WA; two brothers, Rodney Henderson Leftwich of Mills River, NC and Philip Robbins Leftwich of Asheville, NC; as well his nieces, Diana Moore and Margaret Anne Leftwich, and nephew, Brent Michael Leftwich; three step-children, Frankie Hall & wife, Melissa, Jamie Hall and Amy Hall all of Roseboro; and seven step-grandchildren, Matthew, Noah, Gracie and Preston Hall, Dustin Carter, Brianne and Brittany Arnold.
