Mr. Charles David Turner, 84 of Fayetteville, NC went home to with his Lord on April 2022. Charles was proceeded in death by his wife, Frances Snipes by only 23 days. Also to greet him in heaven are his parents, Charles Sikes Turner and Elaine Hobbs Turner; a sister, Mary Ann Hawley.
Charles was baptized at Haystreet Methodist Church, the family church on March 29, 1953. Charles graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1955 and then proceeded to NC State University.
Charles worked for WRAL TV out of college and then proceeded to a career in computer programing. He and Frances lived in multiple cities and states in his career. They eventually retired in Savannah, GA at Skidaway Island. They returned to Fayetteville in 2015 to be closer to family.
Charles is survived by his brother, George Turner, and wife, Diane of Fayetteville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services and burial at a later date in Cross Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made in his honor to Haystreet Methodist Church, 320 Hay Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
