Mrs. Carol Horne Smith, 75 of Roseboro passed away at her home on Friday, May 28, 2021.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 4 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Tim McQueen and Rev. Richard Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 1:50 PM at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of Hersey Pittman and Mary Lee Grice Horne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Allen Smith; brothers, Theodore “George” Horne and Harold Horne; sisters, Clementine H. Bullard and Sally H. Smith. She was a retired teacher’s aide with the Cumberland County Schools.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Edwards and husband, Avery of Beulaville and Sharon Frost and husband, Jimmie of Autryville; sister, Barbara Jean H. Mauro and husband, Ted of Stockton, NJ; six grandchildren, Brandy Hanson, Jessica Frost, Kristen Frost, Elizabeth Edwards, William Edwards and Chester Hanson; three great grandchildren, Charlie Hanson, Jonathan O’Boyle and Ronald Hanson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Butler Funeral Home, P. O. Box 638, Roseboro, NC 28382 to help the family with funeral expenses.
