Brenda Faye (Smith) Spell

Mrs. Brenda Faye Smith Spell, 76, of Salemburg went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Johnston UNC Healthcare Smithfield.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 29 at Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Strickland and Rev. John Cuthill officiating.  Burial will follow in the Autryville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 12:50 PM on Tuesday at Freedom Baptist Church prior to the service.

Mrs. Spell was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Otis Smith and Alice Baxley Smith Sessoms.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Spell; daughter, Deborah Spell; brother, Hubert Sessoms and two sisters, Clara Capps and Reba Bullard.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Chris Spell and wife, Wendy Warren Spell of Autryville; Jeffery Spell and wife, Kimberly Lynn Spell of Salemburg; five grandchildren, Ben Spell, Morgan Spell Henry, Christian Spell, Greyson Spell and Kendall Pope; three great grandchildren, Samuel Spell, Elijah Spell and McKinnley Henry; three sisters, Virginia Fann and husband, Kenneth of Salemburg, Trudy Miller and Julia Faye Sessoms both of Fayetteville.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.
