Mr. Bobby Carroll Greene, 77 of Clinton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at UNC Rex Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Hume officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 1:50 PM at Corinth Baptist Church on Saturday prior to the service.

Mr. Greene was a native of Sampson County, the son of Perdie and Annie Johnson Greene.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Preston Greene; and his sister, Annie Grace Mixon.  He was a former State Trooper with the North Carolina Highway Patrol and worked with the Clinton Police Dept.

He is survived by his wife, Gaile Tew Greene of the home; son, Chris Robinson (Crystal) of Clinton; two grandchildren, McKenzie Robinson and Kaden Holden; two sisters, Sylvia Faircloth (Manley) and Helen Christie; one brother, Benny Greene (Pam).
