Betty Jane (Hairr) Davis

Betty Jane (Hairr) Davis, 68 went to be with the Lord at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. G.C. Hughes.  Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM Thursday at the church before the service.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland Hairr and Sarah Sessoms Hairr; son, Jerry Franklin Davis, Jr.; sisters, Lola Mae Davis and Rochelle Godwin; and a brother, James Hairr.

Betty graduated in 1971 from Cape Fear High School, after graduating she went to work for Purolator where she retired after 44 years of service.  She grew up in Autryville Church of God, which is now known as New Life Church of God, and for the last 22 years she has been a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Vander.  Betty was a loving wife, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be truly missed by her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 48 years, Jerry Franklin Davis, Sr.; granddaughters, Amy Marie Davis Naylor & husband, Trampus Naylor and Emily Nicole Davis; step-granddaughter, Ashley Shea Lee & husband, Josh; great grandson, Holden Bradshaw; step great grandchildren, Ashton and Brentley West, Harlee and Braiden Lee; and a brother, Robert Hairr.
