Betty Joyce (Sessoms) Autry

AUTRYVILLE

Mrs. Betty Joyce Autry, 65 of Autryville, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 7, at Freedom Baptist Church, 2099 Tyndall Bridge Road, Salemburg, with Reverend Paul Honeycutt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday, December 6, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

She was born November 19, 1953 in Sampson County and was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Lee Draughon Sessoms; and one sister, Becky Godbold.  She worked as a Teacher's Assistant with Sampson County Schools.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Autry of the home; three sons, Jeremy Autry, Timothy Autry, and Eric Autry all of Autryville; her father, Walter Sessoms of Roseboro; three sisters, Barbara Williams of White Lake, Vickie Hamm of Autryville, and Fran Matthis of Clinton; one brother, Ricky Sessoms of Roseboro; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; two nieces; and six nephews.
