Mrs. Annie Jane (Smith) Simmons, 91 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at The Gardens of Roseboro.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Peter's Creek Baptist Church with Dr. David Bays and Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Mrs. Simmons was a native of Bladen County, the daughter of Fred and Mae Annie Robinson Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, L.V. Simmons.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Hilda Simmons Palmisano of Roseboro; her granddaughter, Alaina King of Fayetteville; three great-grandsons, Connor McGarry, Patrick McGarry and Delcan McGarry; her sister, Polly McMillan of Fayetteville; and her brother, Kermit Smith.
