Roseboro Mrs. Wylatta Smith Ackerman, 86 of 4216 Hwy 242, Roseboro, died on Friday, March 2, 2012, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Peter's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. David Bays and Rev. Michael Shook officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith Family Cemetery. Mrs. Ackerman was born on December 9, 1925, in Cumberland County to the late Howard Smith and Eva Griffin Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband, D.W. Ackerman and one grandson, Jonathan Davis. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ackerman and wife, Annette of Canton, Georgia, Dale Ackerman and wife, Anna of Roseboro, one daughter, Jane Davis and husband, Tommie of Roseboro, one sister, Alzada Melvin of Roseboro, five grandchildren, Chad Ackerman, Matthew Ackerman, Mitchell Ackerman, Wesley Ackerman and Eddie Davis, five great grandchildren, Rachel, Paul, Jess, Brayden and Addison. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
