AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Wixie Wrench Autry, 97 of 2863 Carroll Store Road, Autryville, died on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at home of her daughter. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home with Dr. James Dees, Jr. and Rev. Donald Keith Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Minson Williams Cemetery, Autryville. Mrs. Autry was born in Harnett County to the late Fletcher and Annabelle Wrench. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kay L. Autry and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Autry; brother, Quinton Wrench and a sister Straudia Autry. She was a member of Clement Baptist Church. She attended Appalachian State University and was a piano and organ teacher at home and various elementary schools in Cumberland and Sampson Counties while also working for Edward Music Company. Mrs. Autry also served as the pianist and organist at Halls United Methodist Church for many years. She is survived by a son, Donald Ray Autry of Fayetteville; a daughter, Lana Kay Hall and husband, W.J. of Autryville; grandchildren, Donna Melvin and husband, Jim, Scott Autry and wife, Rhonda, Ward Parker and wife, Amber, Jason Hall and wife, Bobbie; great grandchildren, Cody Melvin, Reagan Hall and Chase Hall. A special thank you from the family is extended to her caregivers, Gaydell Turner, Elizabeth Beal, Lynette Gilbert, Brenda Tanner and to her son-in-law, W. J. Hall. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and other times at the home of her daughter, 1646 Halltown Road, Autryville.
