Winford Delmas Parker, 87

CLINTON

Mr. Winford Delmas Parker, 87 of 2740 Odom Road, Clinton, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at his home.

The funeral will be held at 4:00pm Sunday, September 3, at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, 1414 Odom Road, Clinton, with Reverend Andy Wood officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Parker Memorial Cemetery.

Born January 26, 1930 in Sampson County, he was the son of the late Paul Eugene and Beulah Honeycutt Parker. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters, Charlie Henry Parker, Fulton Parker, Ottis Parker, Carlos Parker, Evelyn Parker, Anna Jane Sears, Christine Byrd. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, worked as a television technician and owned Parker Brothers T.V. and Appliance.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lila Ruth Parker of the home; son, Richard Paul Parker and wife Sharon of Clinton; daughters, June Parker Currin and husband Richard of Raleigh, Susan Parker Horton and husband Glenn of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Ernest Parker of Clinton; and grandchildren, Macon Parker and wife Christina, Ashley Currin, Emily Horton, Rebecca Currin and fiance` Will Moyer.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:45pm Sunday prior to the service and other times at the home.
