STEDMAN Rev. Willie H. Parker, 74 of Stedman, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011. The funeral will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Adcox Cemetery in Hope Mills. Mr. Parker was born on July 15, 1937 in Scotland County to the late Challie and Virgia Baggett Parker. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Easton, Clayton, Lee, Wilbert and Oscar Parker. He was a nine year veteran of the NC National Guard and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Parker was loved as a husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by: his loving wife of 55 years, Lillie Mae Parker; one daughter, Wanda Parker of Stedman; one son, Ed Parker and wife, Judy of Charlotte; one sister, Katie Cannady of Wilmington; three brothers, Elton Parker and wife, Mabel of Stedman, Elmer Parker and wife, Peggy of Olivia and Earl Parker and wife, Kelsie of Stedman; four grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
