Mr. Willie E. Horne, 74

ELIZABETHTOWN Mr. Willie Edom "Nick" Horne, 74 of 11553 Hwy 242 N., died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Windsor United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Reaves, Rev. John Guyton, and Rev. Marcia Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Horne was born in 1934 in Cumberland County to the late Kirby Gerome and Mary Virginia Smith Horne. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Elaine Cain Horne. He worked as an Area Manager with Kelly Springfield Tire Company. Mr. Horne is survived by: one son, Jerry Horne of the home; one daughter, Tena Dove of Elizabethtown; one grandson, Nicholas Lee Dove of Elizabethtown; and two sisters, Catherine Burton and Patsy Knowles, both of Garland. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Peter's Creek Baptist Church, and other times at the home.
