Mr. William Charles Warren, 70

CLINTON Mr. William Charles Warren, 70, of Clinton, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at Mary Gran Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 6, 2014, at Corinth Baptist Church, 991 Corinth Church Road, Salemburg, NC 28385, with Rev. G.C. Hughes and Rev. Ron Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Warren was born on April 20, 1943, in Sampson County to the late Erastus Warren and Sarah Clyde Lewis Warren Banks. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Warren and by his step-father, Robert "Pete" Banks. He worked with Babcock and Wilcox Company in Wilmington and later he retired from the UNC Wilmington maintenance department. He is survived by his wife, Laura Matthews Warren of the home; three children, William Michael Warren and wife, Julie of Sarasota, FL, Charles Keith Warren of Raleigh, and Laura Renae Owen and husband, Joshua of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Alexander Charles Warren, Melissa Lynn Warren, Caleb Jonathan Owen, Abigail Grace Owen, and Benjamin David Owen; sister, Brenda Kay McMillan and husband, Darrell of South Boston, VA; sister-in-law, Edna Warren of Clinton. The family will receive friends Sunday January 5, 2014, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 6, 2014, at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. C.G. Hughes and Rev. Ron Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday January 5, 2014, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
