CLINTON
Mr. William "Bill" Moore, 89 of 120 Southwood Drive, died on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. William Tew and Rev. W.O. Reiber officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
Mr. Moore was born on May 20, 1921 in Williamsburg County, SC, to the late John Dovy and Verline Britt Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Stella Moore; and two sons, Stanley Moore and George Moore. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a Truck Driver.
He is survived by: one son, Lee Moore of Clinton; one daughter, Helen Helms of Lancaster, SC; two step-daughters, Lisa Neal and Robin Thomas both of Canton, PA; two sisters, Ruby Moore of Darlington, SC, and Mary Lee Mixon of Pine Buff, Ak; five brothers, J.V. Moore, Alvin Moore and Harry Moore all of Georgetown, SC, Paul Moore of Macon, GA, and Luther Moore of Augusta, GA; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one step grandchild and three step-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home of his son, 1008 Warren Street, Clinton.
