ROSEBORO
Mr. William Tate McLeod, 70 of 2210 Boren Brick Road, Roseboro, died on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
Mr. McLeod was born on June 13, 1942 in Sampson County to the late Joseph Wright and Mary Frances Williamson McLeod. He is preceded in death by: his parents; two sons, Steve McLeod and Joey Tate McLeod; two brothers, Jervis Faircloth and Murphy McLeod; and two sisters, Louise Williams and Rosie McLeod. He retired from Coca Cola after 27 years and was the owner and operator of McLeod's Auto Sales.
He is survived by: his wife, Jean Carter McLeod of the home; three daughters, Debbie Acker and husband, Jeff of Roseboro, Rita Fay McDonald and husband, Steve of Clinton, and Margie Greenlee and husband, Jim of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and his special niece, Mannie Faye Williams.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
