William Everett Ellis

ROSEBORO, NC - Mr. William Everett Ellis, 83 of Roseboro, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home. The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Friday, January 11, at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3681 Dunn Road, Roseboro, with Reverend Jeff Bartlett officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45pm prior to the funeral service. He was born June 25, 1935 in Davidson County and was the son of the late Clay and Judy Ann Norton Ellis.  He retired from the US Army as a Sgt. Major and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Dorothea Ellis of the home; two sons, Sgt. Toby Ellis (wife, Michelle) of Parkton, and Boyd Ellis (wife, Debra) of Sanford; three daughters, Betty Pope (husband, Tommy) of Roseboro, Cynthia Ellis of Roseboro, and Kayla West (husband, Chris) of Roseboro; grandchildren, Steven Hayes (wife, Brittany) of Salemburg, Sgt. Scott Hayes (wife, Nina) of Tampa, FL and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren. Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro is serving the family.
