Mr. William Bryant Bivens, Jr.

ROSEBORO Mr. William Bryant Bivens, Jr., 64, of 2406 Hayne Stretch Road, Roseboro, passed away Monday, October 22, 2007 at his home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 3:00 P. M. at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Hilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Lockamy Family Cemetery. Mr. Bivens was a native of Sampson County and the son of the late William B. Bivens, Sr. and Edna Jackson Bivens. He was a carpenter. Mr. Bivens is survived by: wife, Shirley Bivens, of the home; daughter, Ginger Sessoms, of Spring Lake; son, William Allen Bivens, of Autryville; two sisters, Rita Mitchell, of Rose Hill and Dorothy Brodzinski, of Carolina Beach; two brothers, Pete Bivens, of Carolina Beach and Raymond Bivens, of White Lake; four grandchildren, Katie Sessoms, Joshua Sessoms, Zachary Bivens and Spencer Bivens. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 till 9 P. M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
