Mr. William Warren "Billy" Fann, 71 of 1450 Tyndall Bridge Road, Salemburg died Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Piney Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Keith Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Fann was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Henry Glidwell and Helen Rose Howard Fann. He was preceded in death by his son, Dexter Fann. He was the co-owner of Fanns Motor Parts and Machine in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Catherine Fann of the home; two daughters, Rhonda Miller and husband, Danny of Salemburg and Ann Briggs of Salemburg; 2 grandchildren, Derek Miller and Jessica Briggs and one great grandson, Colton Miller; five sisters, Annette Danks and husband, Lyle of Roseboro, Henrietta Forsythe and husband, Clyde of Autryville, Carrie Ann Holland and husband, Gerald of Salemburg, Vicki McPhail and husband, Leonard of Roseboro, and Lisa Tyndall and husband, Gary of Roseboro; two brothers, Jimmy Fann and wife, Mary of Roseboro and Danny Fann and wife, Sue of Roseboro.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Sunday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at the home.
