AUTRYVILLE Mr. William Rufus Autry, Sr., 76 of 264 Autry Mill Road, Autryville died on Monday, December 17, 2012. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the South River Community Church with the Rev. Lynn McLaurin officiating. Burial will follow in the Autry Family Cemetery on Autry Mill Road, Autryville. Mr. Autry was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Jeff and Annie Laura Carroll Autry. He was a lineman/foreman for South River Electric for many years. He is survived by his wife, Jean Autry of the home; one daughter, Lisa Barnes and husband, Brian of Dunn; two sons, Rufus Autry, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Godwin and Leonard Autry and wife, Wendy of Autryville; two sisters, Mary Frances Doggett of Surf City and Lucy Ann Beasley of Garland; seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and at other times at the home.
