William “Andy” Andrew Smith, Jr., 82 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Rufus Autry.  Burial will follow at Tabor United Methodist Church, Fayetteville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Andrew Smith, Sr. and Nellie Brown Smith; wife, Frances Nobles Smith; and a brother, Kirk Douglas Smith.

Andy was the owner and operator of Smithco Sales and Service for over 35 years.  He also loved hunting, fishing, and being with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Susan Lynette Smith Spence of Fayetteville, Michael Andrew Smith of White Oak, Janet Rhea Smith of Stedman, and James Nobles Smith & wife, Angela of Autryville; grandchildren, Lisa Spence Boyle & husband, Will of Greenville, SC, Warren Ray Spence, Jr. & wife, Olivia of Columbia, SC, Elizabeth Lynn Smith of Fayetteville, Rebecca Smith Frady & husband Jacob of Davidson, NC, Richard Curtis Hogeland of Clayton, Ethan Clay Hogeland of Danville, PA, Maggie Louise Smith of Wilmington, and Mason Tucker Smith of Autryville; great grandchildren, Ella Warren Boyle, Noah Andrew Boyle, Scarlett Morning Spence, Brecken Rawls Spence, and Davena Hogeland; sister, Mildred Swain of Plymouth, NC; brother, Alfred Bradley Smith & wife, Julie of Jamesville, NC; and a sister, Julia Smith Spruill of Plymouth, NC.
