Mr. Wiley Roger Melvin,, 75 Sr.

Roseboro Mr. Wiley Roger Melvin, Sr., 75, of 11270 NC Hwy. 210 South, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Mary Gran Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Shook and Rev. Larry West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Melvin was born on November 8, 1935 in Cumberland County to the late J.D. and Lucille Hales Melvin. Mr. Melvin is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edna Gardner Melvin, of the home; daughter, Denise Melvin Hall and husband Mike, of Autryville; son, Roger Melvin and wife Alisia Bolton Melvin, of Stedman; five grandchildren, Melissa Frazee and husband Eric, Ryan Williams and wife Melissa, Evan Williams and wife Heather, Kyle Melvin and Tori McGowan; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Frazee, Logan Williams , Austin Williams and Avery Frazee; four brothers, J.D. Melvin, Jr., of Fayetteville, Bobby Melvin, of Wilson, Jerry Melvin, of Beaver Dam and Phillip Melvin, of Cedar Creek. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Beaver Dam Baptist Church for Gideons International. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 till 2:45 PM at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
