EASTOVER Mr. Wallace Isiah Thomas, Sr., 67 of Eastover passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at his home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2015 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Rev. Archie Barringer officiating. Burial will follow in the Herring Family Cemetery in Autryville. Mr. Thomas was a native of Smithfield, Virginia the son of the late George Wallace Thomas and Willie Goode Thomas. He was a retired Sgt. First Class with the U. S. Army with 21 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Judy Herring Thomas of the home; four daughters, Susan Ausby of Fayetteville, Jamilliah Thomas of Maryland, Jada Thomas of South Dakota and Erica Thomas of the home; one son, Wallace I. Thomas, Jr. of Washington State; a Godson, Craig Spearman; three sisters, Geneva Langhorn and husband, Nicholas, Betty Vogel and Judith Anderson and husband, Walter; seven grandchildren, Kevyn, Raven, Zenobia, Derrick, Jeremiah, Serenity and Sarah; one great grandchild, Autumn. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday evening, March 12 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC.
