STEDMAN Mr. W. Ervin McLaurin, 91, of 5363 Clinton Road, Stedman, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville with the Rev. Gray Chandler officiating. Mr. McLaurin was a native of Cumberland County and was the son of Huey Alexander McLaurin and Catherine Dixon McLaurin. He was a retired welder in the ship building industry. Mr. McLaurin is survived by a daughter, Catherine McLaurin of the home and a son, Tommy McLaurin of Fayetteville. Family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
